Falleció la Nobel de Literatura polaca Wislawa Szymborska
La premio Nobel de Literatura polaca Wislawa Szymborska murió este miércoles a los 88 años de un cáncer de pulmón. "Falleció en casa, tranquila, mientras dormía", explicó a la prensa uno de sus asistentes.
La premio Nobel de Literatura siempre fue una fumadora incorregible a pesar de las constantes advertencias de los médicos, informaron fuentes periodísticas.
Por su parte, el ministro de Exteriores de Polonia, Radoslaw Sikorski, señaló que su muerte es "una pérdida irreparable para la cultura polaca", según lo citado por la agencia de noticias DPA.
La escritora, nacida en 1923 cerca de Poznan, al oeste de Polonia, vivía en un suburbio de Cracovia, la misma ciudad donde emigró junto a su familia cuando tenía ocho años, en 1931.
Reconocida miembro del Partido Comunista, Szymborska escribió numerosos libros atravesados por la reflexión filosófica acerca de cuestiones morales de nuestra época, con tintes lúdicos, irónicos y realistas.
En 1996 fue galardonada con el Premio Nobel de Literatura porque en sus poesías "su precisión irónica hecha luz sobre la realidad humana en un contexto histórico y biológico". En declaraciones a la prensa, la comisión del Nobel, la calificó como la "Mozart de la poesía".
Con su primer libro de poemas, "Busco la palabra", publicado en un medio local en 1945, la escritora alcanzó la cúspide de las letras polacas contemporáneas.
Entre sus obras se destacan "El gran número", "Llamada al Yeti", "De la muerte sin exagerar","Instante", "Paisaje con grano de arena", "Poemas selectos", "Preguntas planteadas a una misma", entre otras.
