"La Bandera de Macha" llega al Congreso de la Nación
En el año del Bicentenario de la creación de nuestra enseña nacional, el gobierno de Bolivia entregará mañana al Congreso de La Nación una réplica autenticada de la “Bandera de Macha” que, luego, será trasladada a la ciudad de Rosario para ser depositada en el Monumento Nacional a la Bandera.
Tras las gestiones iniciadas en junio de 2010 por el senador nacional Rubén Giustiniani con la República de Bolivia, el Museo “Casa de la Libertad” de Sucre – en donde se conserva actualmente “la Bandera de Macha”- realizó una réplica y finalmente el gobierno de Bolivia la entregará mañana a nuestro país.
“Con los colores blanca, celeste y blanca, su réplica autenticada llega ahora al país para que su destino final sea el Monumento a la Bandera de Rosario, como testigo de parte de nuestra historia donde mujeres y hombres entregaron todo para que podamos ser una Nación libre e independiente de toda dominación extranjera”, expresó Giustiniani.
Manuel Belgrano enarboló por primera vez esta bandera a orillas del Río Paraná el 27 de febrero de 1812, convencido de la necesidad de enarbolar una bandera propia tomando los colores de la escarapela. Hasta entonces las tropas habían combatido con la bandera del enemigo.
La “Bandera de Macha” fue encontrada en 1885 en la capilla de Titiri de Macha (Bolivia) -lugar cercano donde tuvo asiento el cuartel general del ejército patriota comandado por Belgrano-, detrás de unos cuadros antiguos. Junto a esta bandera, fue encontrada otra – la “Bandera de Ayohuma”- cuyos colores azul, blanco y azul, fue entregada por el Gobierno de Bolivia y actualmente se conserva en el Museo Histórico Nacional de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.-
