VERSIONES CRUZADAS SOBRE LA SUPUESTA CAPTURA DE BIN LADEN
La radio estatal iraní anunció hoy la detención del líder de la organización terrorista Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, en la frontera de Pakistán.
“La detención del líder de Al Qaida tuvo lugar hace tiempo, pero (el presidente de EE.UU., George W.) Bush quiere anunciarla cuando se celebren las elecciones presidenciales en Estados Unidos”, añadió la emisora que cita “fuentes dignas de confianza”.
Sin embargo, el ministro del Interior de Pakistán, Faisal Saleh Hayat, desmintió totalmente la captura de Bin Laden en su país, como lo anunció la radio estatal iraní. En tanto, fuentes militares paquistaníes consultadas por la agencia explicaron que los operativos de las fuerzas de seguridad paquistaníes en las zonas colindantes con Afganistán lanzados en los últimos días continúan en marcha.
En los últimos días, se lanzaron rumores en Pakistán sobre la supuesta detención del líder de Al Qaeda, e incluso de altos dirigentes del depuesto régimen talibán, pero esta información no ha sido confirmada por las autoridades locales.
Bin Laden se convirtió en el hombre más buscado del mundo después de que EE.UU. acusara a Al Qaeda de estar detrás de los atentados suicidas del 11 de septiembre del 2001 en Nueva York y Washington.
La última vez que fue visto, en septiembre pasado, Bin Laden aparecía en un video emitido por el canal de televisión árabe “Al Yazira”. En esa grabación, aparecía paseando junto a su mano derecha, el egipcio Ayman al Zawaheri, en una zona montañosa.
